US and Romanian forces train in the wind and rain.

US 1st. Infantry Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment and the Romanian 282nd Mechanized Brigade conducted a 2-day live fire exercise at Smardan training area in Romania, April 19-20, 2017.

US Forces are in Romania as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve, which seeks to build regional stability and deter aggression in Eastern Europe.
