I have a 617 and I believe it is THE BEST SA/DA 22 revolver ever made.
Such high quality, feel, balance, practicality etc.
did I mention the SS finish?
They knocked it out of the park.
They’re expensive and worth every penny.
Great for new or advanced shooters.

yeah, have some experience with the 4" in the past, never owned one till now with this 6" and OMG... amazing. almost too easy to hit 8" steel at 75 yard out. i hear they are a bit pricey but this one was a steal at my LGS... $600

@clovertac: mine is also the 6” and it was right around $700 new and still a great value. There are no two SA revolvers at half the price that will provide the same satisfaction as the Smith. So in that sense it’s the best value DA/SA 22 made IMO. Plus the 10 rounds rocks.
