A huge blaze broke out at an apartment complex construction site in Houston, Texas.

At first, the fire grew out of control as the building's sprinkler system failed to engage.

However, fire crews from several local departments brought the flames under control.

No construction staff were on site at the time, but one firefighter has been taken to hospital.
