Don't Be An Absentee - A "Soundie"

A "Soundie".......an early version of what today we would call a "music video".....made for what was essentially a video jukebox found in bars and hotels and other places of entertainment back in the 1940s. This particular one is a wartime piece, with the singer reminding civilian workers to not "Be An Absentee" from work in vital production industries that were essential to the defense effort.
