SB336 is tax increase that will tax gasoline and add fines to hybrid and electric vehicles. HJR1018 is a Constitutional Amendment that will be sold to the people as a needed tax increase by making a permanent as sales tax increase.
Both tax increases are meant to fund highways that have been falling apart for years. At least 7 of those years have been at the hands of bureaucrat Scott Bennett, who recently threatened to cut funding to projects, including safety projects for a long term road plan.
Bennett also bragged about how $1 million meant for roads somehow ended up on a pet project civil engineering education building. This building is being built in/ invested in/ going to a tech park. Bennett also mocked and ridiculed me when I brought up the issue.
When I cussed out Bennett for his arrogant behavior the bureaucrat and 2 of his associates tried to pick a fight with me and had to be separated by police.
