Amid the COVID-19 pandemic comes a new Ebola outbreak.

It has been detected recently in Equateur province of Democratic Republic of Congo. This is the 11th outbreak since the virus was detected in the country in 1976
The World Health Organisation (WHO) said 545 suspected cases were reported per day (June 4-11) 3,130 samples were tested in the first week of June , including:
2421 blood samples from alive suspected cases
331 swabs from community deaths
378 samples from re-tested patients

A total 3,463 cases were reported by June 9. (3,317 confirmed, 146 probable). While 2,280 died (fatality ratio: 66%) until now 1,171 patients have recovered
29% patients were below 18 years 5% were healthcare workers
