7.62x39mm Steel Core and Lead Core, VS Level III Sapi Plate

Test Gun: CIA Zastava M92 PAP Pistol 7.62x39mm w/ 10" barrel

Here is my Level III SAPI plate. Wanted to see how hard, and or not hard the steel core was on the early Chinese steel core 7.62.

Simple test, one round of lead core 7.62x39mm vs plate, then one round of steel core vs same plate.

Results, neither round penetrated plate. Very little plate deformation.

Next up M193 and M855 :)
