1911 one hand disassembly

The 1911 really is an easy firearm platform to assemble and disassemble, but for some reason it has a reputation of being difficult to work with.
I didn't understand why until I saw so many people disassembling their 1911 that had a GI recoil spring setup as if it had a full length guide rod, fighting the recoil spring the whole way.
DONT DO IT! Just release spring pressure first!
