you should use a 20" barrel for the xm193. this would show it's higher capability.

I’ve used my Colt 6920 16” and Colt HBAR Match 20” with 1:7 and 1:9 respective twist rates and that’s where I’ve seen variances. The 20” HBAR with Federal XM193 did the best job of penetrating multiple 1/4” mild steel plates at > 50 yards as tested.

I’ve seen similar results in my testing with solid 1/2” mild steel.

I’ve seen XM193 outperform the 308 with 3 stacked plates of 1/4” mild steel plates.

yeah out of 20 barrel it will outperform the 308
