Why the Remington 700 Kinda' Sucks by Nutnfancy

It’s time to face the realities of the currently produced Remington 700. It kinda’ sucks…at least in this .300WM caliber. Perhaps under the guidance of “Freedom Group,” Remington has lost its soul. That’s a fear of mine whenever a corporate entity takes over a historic company. The bottom line then dictates the gun construction and saving money. What is not debatable are the LONG TERM results I bring to the table here: disappointing accuracy, horrible X-Mark Pro trigger [and previous triggers too], poor ejection, and poor quality control [chamber problems]. This gun is NOT GTW ready (the .300WM Long Range sample shot and discussed here). Watch the whole video for details. Having shot the 700 since I was 10, I know the gun well. The Remington 700 has not evolved into a better gun and with this video I’ll say it falls well short of the better competition. Time to sell and step into a more capable bolt gun. Who cares how cheap it is if it can't shoot?
