A bill put together by Democrats in Virginia would outlaw militia exercises, but also forbid most martial arts training, self-defense courses, and even firearms defense classes.
The bill, which is set to be argued starting on January 8 or 2020, says that someone will be guilt of a class-5 misdemeanor if the “Assemble with one or more persons for the purpose of training with, practicing with, or being instructed in the use of any firearm, explosive, or incendiary device, or technique capable of causing injury or death to persons…

Virginia to Outlaw All forms of Self Defense

Virginia to Outlaw Kickboxing, Tai Chi, Firearms Instruction and Self-defense Training

The State of Virginia is proposing a new 2020 law known as SB64 (see link here) which will be taken up by the Senate beginning January 8, 2020.

The law would instantly transform all martial arts instructors into criminal felons. This includes instructors who teach kickboxing, BJJ, Krav Maga, boxing and even Capoeira.

It would also criminalize all firearms training classes, including concealed carry classes.

It would even criminalize a father teaching his own son how to use a hunting rifle.

Erin O'Toole distances himself from MacKay and Scheer as leadership campaign kicks off at Calgary rally

In response to an audience member's question, O'Toole said he would march in a Pride parade. 'There are no albatrosses in my Conservative party'

In a speech before Conservative faithful in Calgary Monday evening, just hours after he kicked off his campaign to lead the party, Erin O’Toole tried to paint himself as the candidate who is neither Peter MacKay or Andrew Scheer, imploring the crowd to back him as the man who could lead the party back into power in Ottawa.

Held at a luxurious and exclusive private club in downtown Calgary, in his speech, O’Toole rattled off several ideas baked into the conservative canon: a strong military, opposition to the carbon tax, nostalgia for the years when Stephen Harper was prime minister and a distaste for the policies of Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government.

“People are losing their jobs. People are losing their homes. People are losing hope,” said O’Toole. “And what have we been doing? Fighting amongst ourselves, at times, instead of taking the fight where we need to — to defeating Justin Trudeau.”

After New Hampshire it's clear: Joe Biden's campaign is on life support

With so much opportunity, and frankly so much fear, Democrats are shopping around for their best bet to beat the biggest bozo
The first is that Joe Biden’s campaign is on life support. Not so long ago, this was Biden’s contest to lose. After two crushing defeats, there’s no doubt about the prognosis: the former vice-president is fading fast.

Back in 2008 and 2016, Hillary Clinton ran two versions of the argument that voters wanted a mix of experience and change: of looking back and looking forward. That argument failed among Democrats the first time, and won the national popular vote the second time around by a large margin.
