Up to 5,000 tractors descended upon the German capital on Tuesday to protest the government's latest agricultural policies and environmental protection regulations which farmers claim are too restrictive.
German authorities estimate somewhere in the region of 5,000 tractors and 10,000 farmers entered Berlin in a slow-moving convoy, bringing the capital to a relative standstill at certain points. The protesters eventually gathered at Berlin's iconic landmark Brandenburg Gate.

The trouble with banning certain chemicals used in agriculture is that there is no longer any "real" science used to determine any risk - it's all the rantings of clueless social justice warriors. Take glyphosate (AKA Roundup) for example. An activist (liberal) jury IN SAN FRANCISCO decided that the chemical was evil, after one maintenance man, who worked for an urban school district, came down with cancer. There's no proof that the chemical caused the cancer, millions of others have used glyphosate for decades without ill effects, but the damn ambulance-chasing lawyers have demonized the chemical in the court of public opinion (not science). I'm a farmer.....if glyphosate were to be taken off the shelves, you urbanites will soon be paying much higher prices for your foods. You'll also soon be paying much higher prices for your beloved ethanol (which is made using massive amounts of corn). The law of unintended consequences has not been revoked.
