My 302 powered FB RX7 decided after months of abuse to throw two rods on my way home from work. It put a hole in the oil pan and two holes in the block but still I drove it home. I decided since nothing was savable to take it out back and finish it off.

Update: First to clear things up and settle some arguments. For everyone that says that this was a waste of money, I made money on this car. I got the car because I traded a for festiva for it that I had no money into. The car also didn't have a engine in it when I got it. My friend who was the previous owner had removed it when it went bad and then lost interest in it. The motor and trans( a AOD for those wondering) came from a car I paid $75 for and then scrapped for a profit. I sold the intake and carb off it and then put a 350 chevy in it with a turbo 350 which didn't cost anything. I then sold the car as a unfinished project and made almost a grand on it. The whole reason for building the car was just to have fun with it and I wanted another project. It was never to build something that was going to rule the streets or show how that one engine is better than another. I just like wrenching on cars and wanted to see what I could put together with basically spare parts. Also to those that say that I should have saved the engine or that it was junk for blowing up on my way home. That engine had well over 150,000 miles on it when I got it and was then used in a derby car before it got use in this car. It was well used, had been over heated and wasn't worth anything anyways. And anyone that knows anything about building 302's knows that a mid 80's passenger car 302 is definitely not the engine to start with if you want to make power. They are low compression and have terrible heads and camshaft due to emissions standards. This was just something to build for fun and for the few months it ran it was a blast to drive.
