WE Charity Contract With Liberal Gov’t Needs Closer Look

The federal Conservatives are calling for an investigation into the Liberal government’s decision to have an international charity administer a $900-million program designed to help students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The request is contained in a letter sent to Auditor General Karen Hogan on Sunday in which the Tories argue that “outsourcing” the Canada Student Service Grant to WE Charity undermines Parliament’s ability to monitor the aid program.

Thousands of federal employees to receive paid vacation since they can't work from home

Thousands of federal bureaucrats who were told to work from home as a result of the COVID-19 virus are not actually working because their internet servers can’t handle more than “essential” government services.

Since Monday, most federal departments are asking staff who were sent home to stay off internal servers if they aren’t working on core or critical services.
