President Trump and the Congress are deadlocked over another stimulus bill. People are worried about how they will pay their bills today and pay off the national debt in the future.

The government used to pay off it's debt, so how did we get to be a nation in debt? How did inflation cause our dollar to buy so much less? How does the government collect taxes from us now, when they couldn't when the Constitution was first signed?
