Spartan Armor Systems, Level III+ Body Armor Torture Test! 300 Win Mag!

Today we got to test some Level III+ armor from The Target Man /Spartan Armor Systems:


At 75 yards this plate stopped:
55gr 5.56x45mm M193
150gr .300 Winchester Magnum
225gr .338 Remington Ultra Magnum

At 35 yards the plate stopped:
55gr 5.56x45mm M193

However, the 150gr .300 WM penetrated the plate. The plate failed when we hit it with .338 RUM. The round didn't penetrate, but the stress cracked the lower part of the plate.

Colleagues and I are thoroughly impressed that it was able to stop .300WM at 75 yards, along with .338RUM. Our one complaint would be better adhesion of the spall coating.
