Snow Goose Jump Shoot (Spring 2018)

It was Late February in Central City, Nebraska and the white devils returned in greater numbers than 2017. It was the first morning I had seen any sizable flocks touch down around town, and I could not pass up the opportunity. I retrieved my SBE 3 from the truck and a box of Hevi-Steel 3” BB shells, walked across the road from my office to the neighbors and asked permission to kill ‘em. (I was given a resounding “Go Get ‘Em Off Our Field!).

I had thousands of eyes looking so I did not get as close as I would have liked, but I downed and recovered 14 birds (including 3 Ross’s Geese).
