Plastic pollution worse than anyone thought (Global) - BBC News - 19th August 2020

This should be no surprise but it has taken many by surprise as plastic pollution is only getting worse, with landfills emptying into seas and single use ones in the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic (e.g. masks), adding millions upon millions of new tons to the mix. The situation is only going to get worse no doubt.
