North Dakota Moves Closer to Constitutional Carry

Rep. Rick Becker, R-Bismarck, said House Bill 1169 would add North Dakota to the growing list of several states which already allow its residents to do so. The concept, known as constitutional carry, allows people to carry concealed or openly a handgun without a government permit.

“It brings us closer to the intent of the constitution,” said Becker, adding the impact wouldn’t be significant since North Dakota is already an open-carry state.
