Arkansas Issue 1 Discussion

Arkansas Issue 1 was talked about in a panel discussion at the Community Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Several people spoke against the ballot issue.
Issue 1 would limit damages to $500,000 for non-economic damages and allow legislators to decide what can be allowed in court cases.
At the time this was filmed, Judge Mackie Pierce had struck down the ballot iniative from being placed on the 2018 ballot, but a case to put the iniative back on was placed on the Arkansas Supreme Court

In addition to the panel discussion, family members who have suffered under corruption from the nursing home industry testified about their problems
