And the reports still come in that Theresa May is dead-set on pushing her broken Fake Brexit deal to the country to try and somehow force MPs to vote for it.

Yesterday there was discussion about whether she would lose the vote by more than 100 votes or not, today the talk is of a devastating 200 plus vote loss.

But still she blindly carries on. What has possessed her?

The team set up in the cabinet office to push the deal through has all but admitted defeat and a briefing for Labour MPs to try and bring the opposition onboard and offset the growing number to Tories who have said they will vote it down, backfired spectacularly.

Those Labour MPs said that they had been treated like idiots and that the briefing by the Number Ten Chief of Staff, Gavin Barwell, and the Cabinet Minister, David Lidington, had been pointless and utter ummmm ’brown stuff’, leading them to be more likely to vote against May’s deal.

And to add to her woes, the former CEO of UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and now Chair of the WWF-UK, Sir Andrew Cahn, who helped set up the single market - said on Radio 4 that President Trump had told the truth when he said a trade deal would be most unlikely under May’s proposed deal. And he said:

“It will be very difficult to do independent trade deals for as long as we can see looking forward.”

And it is also being reported that Theresa May was offered a free trade deal by Donald Trump when he came to the UK back in July. With the Telegraph reporting:

“Owen Paterson revealed Mr Trump’s aides told him that the President had offered a free trade deal ‘on a plate’ when he met with Mrs May at Chequers in July but was told the UK ‘wasn’t ready’.”

Not ready? Sounds to me more like Mrs May knew that she would not be delivering a deal with the EU that made a free trade deal with the US possible.

But at least the UK is close to sorting out a post-Brexit open skies agreement with the US, with the FT reporting that negotiators are to meet in Washington today for the final round of talks.

Any way, back to Theresa May’s deal, expect to see a massive scaremongering attack on a WTO exit from the EU, coupled with a barrage of guff from May supporters telling us how good her Fake Brexit deal is - don’t buy a word of it!

Anyway, what do you think? Please leave a comment below and thank you for watching.
