Ivermectin triple therapy flagged as a 'wonder drug' against COVID-19

Ivermectin is being hailed as a 'wonder drug' in the fight against coronavirus.

The Centre for Digestive Diseases says the medication is an effective treatment when used in conjunction with zinc and antibiotics and is advocating for the 'triple therapy' to be made available in aged care homes and for frontline workers.

Professor Thomas Borody said the treatment could be the answer to Victoria's COVID-19 crisis.

Ivermectin is commonly used in hospitals to treat parisitic infections.
