In on the Joke? A Serious Case for Vermin Supreme (Documentary Short)

You may have heard the name and you probably have seen the boot, but like so many, there's a fair chance you just don't get Vermin Supreme.

For roughly 33 years, Vermin has been running satirical campaigns in virtually any election he could get his boot into. However, in 2019, he announced that this time would be different and 2020 would be his very first serious and official run for president. He has since, filed his candidacy with the FEC, chosen Desarae Lindsey as his campaign manager and Spike Cohen, Your Next VP as his running mate, received many endorsements, and hit the debate and campaign trail seeking the nomination for the Libertarian Party.

Many in the party have expressed concern of Supreme's campaign and antics potentially lessening the credibility of the LP. However, Vermin believs that the serious party can put up a joke candidate in an attempt to not only draw more people into the party, but to shine a spotlight on the fact that the rigged duopoly political system is a joke in itself.
