The Idahoan shares his paraphrase of the 34th Psalm.

Lyrics:

Come magnify the Lord with me, all ye who fear His name!
Come sing His praise continually, and spread abroad His fame,
That all the humble of the earth may then in heart be glad,
When they see poor men like me in the joy of God’s deliverance clad!

Angelic armies do surround the man whose trust in God is found,

Prepared all evil to lay waste, that he may God’s sweet deliverance taste,
And with abundance they are blessed,
Who in the fear of the Lord find their rest:
Though strong lions may hunger for want of prey,
Reverent faith of His saints God will ne’er betray,
But day by day He supplied their need alway!

Come, children, harken unto my voice: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
Do ye desire to rejoice in length of days and sweet concord?
Then guard thy tongue from evil speech, and refrain thy lips from guile;
The way of peace learn thou to teach, and repent of ev’ry evil wile.

For the eyes of the Lord are upon you, all ye who are righteous in heart!
To your ev’ry plea He will listen, and deliverance swiftly impart,
For the Lord is nigh unto the contrite,
And to heal broken hearts He doth delight.
But against all of them that do evil, God Almighty setteth His face,
And who of the righteous are hateful shall come in the end to disgrace,
For the wicked shall slay one another, and they no more remembered shall be,
While the righteous is kept by the Father, and from all his afflictions set free.
