The Idahoan shares his paraphrase of the 30th Psalm.

Lyrics:

Thou, oh Lord, will I extol,
For Thou hast lifted up my soul,
And not allowed my enemies to triumph over me.
Thou hast made my body whole,
And from the grave brought up my soul!

Sing unto the Lord, all ye who His Name profess,
Songs full of thanksgiving as ye recall His holiness,
For His anger is but fleeting and His favor giveth life;
His presence brings a dawn of joy that ends the night of grief!

In seasons of prosperity I thought myself secure,
But ’twas only by God’s favor that my blessings did endure.
The Lord had but to hide His face and all my strength was gone,
And then I bowed unto the Lord and made my supplication:
What profit is there if my blood be spilt upon the dust?
Shall it then praise Thy Name, oh Lord, or cause men in Thee to trust?
Lord, hear me of Thy mercy: save me from consternation!

To my prayer, oh Lord, you harkened and my troubles did destroy;
You turned me from my mourning and caused me to leap for joy.
You put off my robes of suffering and with gladness clothed by soul,
To the end that now in glory I may Thy great Name extol,
So let not my tongue be silent, Oh Lord my God and King,
But unto Thee forever with thanksgiving let it sing!
