Idahoan Psalter: Psalm 26
The Idahoan shares his paraphrase of the 26th Psalm.
Lyrics:
Before the throne of God Most High my case I will now plead,
For by faith, integrity has been my course indeed.
Examine me, oh Lord, my God, my heart and will to prove,
For in Thy way of truth I’ve trod, with my face set toward Thy love.
I have not consorted with the proud, nor purveyors of wickedness.
I praise Thy wondrous works aloud, and publish words of thankfulness.
I have loved Thy place of habitation, where Thine honor doth reside,
Wherefore in Thy congregation let my soul ever abide!
And with men whose hands work mischief, swift to murder and to bribe,
Sinner, scoundrel, rogue, or theif, let not my soul be classified!
But by Thy mercy let me walk unmoved in mine integrity,
Redeemed by grace into Thy flock, thy Name to bless eternally!
