I don't know what Hickok was thinking, but it wasn't good.
When rights are absolute, compromising our rights only leads to an incremental and eventual absolute loss of our rights. We can only compromise when it comes to how many more freedoms we are gaining back once we turn the tide, go on the offensive and put the people who seek to deprive us of our rights on the defensive.
