Grand Prince Alexander Nevsky
Battle of the Neva (July 15, 1240) - the battle on the Neva River between the Novgorod militia under the command of Grand Prince Alexander Yaroslavich and the Swedish detachment. Alexander received the honorary nickname "Nevsky", for the victory and personal courage in the battle.
