The Continental Army of George Washington were at Valley Forge in the Winter of 1777. They were encamped against any British attack.

The weather over that winter was brutal, and thousands of soldiers tried to endure disease, malnutrition, and exposure ~ more than 2,500 soldiers had died by March 1, 1778. The war between this band of American rebels, led by Washington, and the new Republic called “America” they were dying in droves against the empire of the British. They lost extensive and key battles in 1777 ~ and hope looked bleak.

It was then that it is reported George Washington had a visitation from an angel and saw the future of America.
