First Shots: Weatherby SA-459 TR 12 Gauge Semi Auto Shotgun

Another friend pickup. Weatherby SA-459 TR Semi Auto, 12 gauge.

Gun seems very well put together. Little turned off at lack of capactiy considering the model designation of this shotgun. I've read a Nova extension will work with some modification.

We haven't put a lot of rounds through this gun yet, but we've noticed it doesn't like light target loads even with the light load piston. Shoots buckshot with the light load piston just fine, and 3" slugs with the heavy load fine as well.

Good price for a semi at $600 retail..
