My friend's dad picked up one of these, and I couldn't wait to shoot it. Overall fit and finish on the gun is excellent. I see they elimated the cocked striker indicator on the rear.

Front sight is fiber optic, and comes with additional fiber optic rod.

5+1. I will have to test velocity of the .45ACP on such a short barrel. Good supported chamber as well.

Not sold on the trigger. Very different feel IMO to the original XD or even the XDM. Not horrible mind you, but still heavy IMO. Take down is like the XD, requiring you to pull trigger to release.

it does sit very very low in your hand. A few times I was looking over the top of the gun because of how used I am to shooting other higher bore axis guns.

External extractor, and brass is thrown a good ways away from the firearm with good power.

Recoil is manageable, but the firearm does beatup the webbing your shooting hand. I have medium size hands and only my pinky doens't fit on the grip. Overall with some practice I'd have no qualms about carrying this gun, especially for it's size.
