Here's the steel entry door from the previous 44 Magnum test that caused a failure to expand with the HP. We came to the same test results with the .45 HST. Steel skin, and the foam core, plug up the hollow point, and cause it not to expand. Acted just like a FMJ and went through all 7 water jugs, and was found 1/2" under the dirt in the hill.

From some online research, HP's of most all flavors don't usually expand after passing through thin skin steel objects like car doors.
