OK Knives are one of my favorite things (next to shooting gear) to use and review. I have quite a collection and have carried one on me daily for over 35 years. So when I got this knife from #OPTREK to review I was looking forward to it. It arrived in a very nice case and box with a knife holster. I liked the packaging its nice and would make it a nice gift to give someone. So it looks good in the package and is a good looking knife design in itself.

After reading a couple of the one star reviews I wanted to check for the things they said they found or did not like. I have to say I did not find them. One reviewer complained that the blue on the case rubbed off on their hands when handling the case. I handled the case quite a bit and never noticed any blue coming off, so then I rubbed the case with my thumb hard, and yes I got some blue on it, but it wiped off really easy. No big deal. Plus I didn't get it for the case I got it for the knife.

The scabbard/ holster that comes with it is nice and well made. It can be worn either vertically or horizontally, which is nice depending on how you like to wear your knives. For the cost of the knife its a good case.

I like the design of this knife. I use thumb hole opening knives quite a bit so I am used to the opening method of this knife. It was pretty easy to open, but stiff enough to not have it happen in your pocket by accident. And the locking mechanism is very good, it is locked and will not close accidentally, no matter how hard you push on it. You must use the release to get it to close, which is good, nothing more dangerous then a knife that closes on you when you do not want it too, and this will not do that!

The handle has a texture that is nice and will be good when you hands are slick with water or sweat. No grip problems there. The belt clip that is on the knife is strong and springy and holds your pocket tight, no moving around on it. I like that also.

I noticed that one of the previous reviews said something about having a hard time getting the knife out of the case, well I did not have any issues and I took it out and put it back in to see if I was missing something, it was very easy to take out, no issues. And also one reviewer said that the opening and closing was very hard and stiff and not smooth at all. Well the knife I got was very smooth, yes it was a little stiff, but still easy enough to open with one hand and close with one hand which is a good test to put a knife through to see if you can use it with one hand. The knife opens pretty easy with the flick of your thumb in the thumb hole, and closes easy when you depress the lock bar on the back of the knife. No problems there.

Now to the only thing I found that I did not care for but does not take away from the knife, is the blade and how it is sharpened. It does not have the typical angles to sharpen the blade. It is very heavily angled on one side as compared to the other. It is not a even edge but one sided a lot. It is sharp and cut things no problem, but when you have to re-sharpen it, you will have to work at it a bit as the edge will not be what you are used to.

PROS:
Nice packaging
Well made
Stainless steel blade and parts.
Comes with sheath
Has belt clip on it.
Large thumb hole for easy opening with one hand.
Strong blade lock to prevent accidental closing
Nice texture on the handles to prevent slippage

CONS:
Blade sharpened at a strange angle

OVERALL:
I really like the knife overall, it is a great knife for the price. Its a plus it comes with a sheath and belt clip. Strong locking mechanism, and good thick blade. Cuts well, isn't that what you get knives for? I recommend this knife as a great pocket carry or EDC knife, and it is very affordable.

NOTE: I received this knife free for an honest review. I was not paid to review the knife.
