CEMETERY OF THE PAST

While visiting my hometown this October, 2015, I took some photos of a cemetery I used to go to whenever I wanted to be alone with my own thoughts. I never found it to be a scary place, but rather one of calm, solitude and peace. I wrote many poems there back in the day, and even had a few spiritual experiences.

It was a little sad to see a modern housing development slowly overtaking the field at the bottom of the landscape. Where there was once just flowers, grass and bushes that blazed with color in the later fall, is now the intrusion of man as he infringes upon the quiet land.
