Brexit Betrayal: Nigel Farage Begs the EU to veto the extension of article 50

NIGEL Farage pleaded with the European Union to have them reject demands for an extension of the Brexit negotiations to ensure Britain quits the bloc on March 29.
Nigel Farage urged the European Union to "veto" demands for an extension of the Brexit negotiations to make sure neither the bloc nor Britain "waste four more years" in talks about their future relations. MPs are expected to vote on Thursday to give Theresa May the mandate to ask European leader to postpone Brexit at a summit in Brussels next week. Addressing fellow MEPs in Strasbourg on Wednesday, Mr Farage said: "We don’t want to be governed by you, we want to govern ourselves.
"I’m sure the next instalment of this will be the Prime Minister next Thursday going to the European Summit in Brussels - another humiliating display - where she begs for an extension of Article 50. I’ve got a solution to all of this.
"I heard Mr Barnier this morning say if this treaty gets passed, the next phase of negotiations could last to up to four years. I thought, ‘enough.’ We don’t want to waste another four years of our life, four more years of agony, and you don’t want to waste another four years.
Mr Farage continued: "You’ve got your plan. You want the United States of Europe, you want your army, you want everyone to join the Euro, you want to get rid of the nation-states. we are just a damned nuisance.
"The European Elections – you don’t want me coming back here, or hordes of Eurosceptics coming back here."
Speaking before Mr Farage, EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier appeared to condemn MPs in the House of Commons for "prolonging and making worse" the uncertainty of the Brexit process with their decision to reject the withdrawal agreement Theresa May put to the vote on Tuesday.
Brexit coordinator Guy Verhofstadt appeared against accepting an extension to the Brexit talks unless the British Government could clarify the purpose of the extra time.
Mr Verhofstadt said: "We don’t start to talk about an extension. We don't see any reason to give any extension if first of all we don’t know what the position is of the majority of the House of Commons."
