With a Big Blast Cap you can pump air into a plastic bottle. We recommend up to 80 psi depending on the weather and size of the bottle. You place it down range at least 60 feet away and shoot it with a projectile. The pressurized air immediately disperses to normalcy creating a "boom" as the air molecules rush out into the normal atmospheric pressure.

That's why it's called "Big Blast".

The Big Blast Cap offered by Umarex is a cap with a valve in it that threads onto plastic bottles such as water and soda bottles with tall threads. The short threaded water bottles don't work so well. The bottles are simply filled with air using an inflator needle like that used to inflate a football or basketball. You can use a standard bicycle/sport ball pump to fill them with air. It's cool to put a little colored water or flour inside the bottle for a visual effect. There is absolutely no explosive material, simply the air pressure that causes a "boom". The air molecules collide with the liquid and powder molecules to create the visual effect.
