Former Vice President Joe Biden lost track of his thoughts during a campaign speech Monday about the number of coronavirus deaths as he blasted President Trump’s handling of the pandemic.

“Do you really feel safer under Donald Trump? COVID has taken this year, just since the outbreak, has taken more than 100 years. Look, the lives, when you think about it, more lives this year than any other year for the past 100 years,” Biden said during the speech Monday at a steel mill in Pittsburgh. “More than 180,000 lives in just six months, an average of 1,000 people dying every day in the month of August.”
