I think someone on you-tube once did a video about a frail old man in West Virginia who couldn't shoulder a rifle. So he loaded .338 bullets in to a 410 backwards to hunt deer. Because a .410 was light and did not kick.
Your theory reminds me of the 30-30 plight they can't shoot as far because the bullet is flat the levolution makes those plastic pointed bullets that make them accurate farther.
And firing your bullets from a short barreled gun don't really prove nothing.
I bought lee's 45 bullet mold instead of .452 they were .450 and every bullet tumbled.
Do your test in a muzzleloader,... put your bullet in a sabot.
I see even clear out there those mound builder Indians has been there,.. they are like ground moles, they didn't like chasing arrows, so the built those things.
Great video
It could also be there are two types of projectiles?
like BB gun vs pellet gun.
the pellet gun is rifled and the BB gun ain't.
Spin driven verses kinetic inertia driven projectiles.
Like muzzloading rifle vs smooth bore shotgun.
