What does it take to defeat Level III+ Body Armor?

AR500 Armor was nice enough to donate one of their plates to find out.

We love to push these plates to their limit and past. Please note the rounds used in this test (besides the 5.56) are beyond what this plate is rated for.

At 30ish yards:

5.56x45mm - Independence M193 (verified 3200+ fps from 16" barrel at 10'f) - Stopped

.300 Winchester Magnum - 150gr Remington Core-Lokt - Penetrated

.338 Remington Ultra Magnum -225gr Accubond - Stopped
.338 Remington Ultra Magnum- 250gr Remginton PSP - Stopped

Label me impressed with this plate. The coating holds up great, and didn't delaminate after a couple shots. It broke off as it should.
