Antifa Allowed by UK Police To Attack Supporters Rallying for Tommy Robinson in London

Ruptly is live from London on Saturday, August 3, as activists hold a rally to demand the release from prison of former English Defence League (EDL) leader Tommy Robinson, who was jailed for nine months for contempt of court.

Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was found guilty on July 11 of interfering in the trial of a sexual grooming gang at Leeds Crown Court in May 2018. The Old Bailey ruled that his Facebook Live video of defendants had breached reporting restrictions and jeopardised the trial.

A counter-protest by the activist group ‘North London Antifa’ is due to take place in the vicinity of the action by Tommy Robinson supporters, as was announced on the group’s Twitter page.

The 'Stand Up To Racism' group is also planning an action against pro-Robinson demonstration.
