Ancient Cambodian Ruins - circa 1935

Truly ancient ruins of a previous Khmer civilization in Cambodia, seen here in silent 16mm film taken sometime around 1935, as far as I can make an educated guess. During this period, Angkor Wat was being used as a Buddhist Temple, and had yet to be explored systematically by archeologists....but this was also before tourists started coming there in large numbers.
