Allen Precision Shooting (APS) Small 3 Port PainKiller Muzzle Brake, .338 RUM

If you recall my original .338 RUM videos, you'll note my comments that the A-bolt kicked like an SOB. I shot 7 rounds and had enough for the day. I did some research on muzzle brakes, and after talking to Kirby at APS, decided on his smalle 3 port PainKiller. Since the A-bolt has a sporter barrel, I was limited to 5/8" threads, if I didn't want to shorten the barrel.

I had the local gunsmith thread the barrel for me. I also picked up a Harris Bi-pod

Results? Very effective felt recoil reduction. I put 10 rounds through the gun, and could have shot more. The .338 RUM, now feels like a .30-06 from an M1 Garand. Simply Amazing!
