So I heard on the internet, the muzzle blast from a pistol would burn through the Kevlar and cause the bullet to penetrate the vest.

We have some AR500 Armor Level IIIA Hybrid Armor. S&W M&P 9mm with 4.95" barrel. Win 9mm NATO with a velocity of about 1210fps (124gr FMJ).

Results: Well it's going to hurt, but the 9mm didn't stand a chance :D
