Test gun is the Magnum Research Polymer SC Baby Eagle with 3.93" barrel. Fired from approximately 9-10feet. We've previously chrono'd this round at 985fps.

Pork on sale again, and it was a decent day for shooting, and I have been requested to shoot this round a few times

Results:

The bullet penetrated the entire length of the pork shoulder (approx 10.5"). It cut the water jug sitting on top of the meat, and stuck into the plastic of the jug behind it, as recovered in the video.

The bullet struck the meat to the right and down of the bone. As it traveled through the meat, a petal at one point struck the bone, and altered the bullets path upwards. There is gray marking on the phone and a slight indentation, marking it's spot on the bone, and the broken and smashed pedal of the recovered bullet seems to agree.

There's definate tearing and cutting evident within the first 1-3" of entrance, and some more tearing and splitting on the last 3-4" of penetration. I would suspect we would have seen more damage to the meat if the bone had not gotten in our way.

The broken petal was recovered in the last 3-4" under the meat in a fatty area.

I have no doubts about carrying this load :)

Thank you for your time to look at my data points for ballistic testing :) Shoot on.
