22LR is a great round to be sure. That being said, its not the do all.
Will it kill a large mammal? Sure. Correct placement....but will it stop them quickly? not likely.
I tend to go 556. Cureall? No. Just more umpf. Each to their own tho!
Having a 22 pistol in your pack?Seriously good idea.
